How are assembled printers tested before shipping
Just wondering if anyone knows how the printers are tested before they are shipped out.
Just curious as to what they print out.
Re: How are assembled printers tested before shipping
Hello Tiago!
I have seen an intervju with Josef Prusa recently where he demonstrated some of the tests briefly. As I remember (my memory can be wrong though) they test all the electrical parts on a computer and measures voltages as well as how fast temperatures rise on the extruder as well as the heated bed. Regarding if they test the mechanical properties of the various parts I don't know for sure.
Can somebody correct me if I am wrong or just complement with other tests?
/Henrik
Re: How are assembled printers tested before shipping
I believe that assembled and kit printers all have the major parts tested but assembled printers are calibrated and a test patters and the Prusa logo is printed and left on the bed.
