Horrible Prints
Hi Everyone. I'm completely new to 3d printing. I hope someone can help me correct this issue. My i3 MK2S came pre-assembled and printed PERFECT right out of the box. It continued to print perfect until I tried to do my first 2 color print test. I know WHAT happened but do not know HOW to fix it...ugh
Here's what happened:
1) I made 2 processes in Simplify3d. The first was for the bottom print, which was a white square 50mm X 50 mm X 1mm thick. The other was a black square 25mm X 25mm X 1mm thick that would print on top of the white square
2) After process #1 finished, I changed to the next color and ran process #2 for the black color
3) Bottom line: I forgot to remove the G80 mesh bed leveling routine in process #2 and during the bed leveling the nozzle crashed into the white square in the center of the bed from the first process and "bounced" the bed
4) Now I get the HORRIBLE prints as seen in the images
5) It only prints horrible in some areas of a print, and not always the same area
6) Can someone please direct me how to correct this? I've run the V2 calibration but it didn't fix it 🙁

I am also new to 3D printing but here are my 2 cents. Have you messed with z-height compensation? It should be under calibration when you scroll down. It looks like the nozzle is too close to the heat bed, causing a build up of pressure and which eventually releases a blob. I would try raising the compensation by a few microns.

Yes it looks like you do not have your "Live Z" set correctly.

Thanks so much for the replies! I am kind of lost here how to fix this. I have tried a couple times adjusting the Live Z but not successfully. I kind of don't understand how adjusting Z will help though because the top left square came out perfect? And the ones next to it pretty good, while the bottom ones were trashed. All the squares were printed in the same process so it would seem if Z was bad, they all would have printed bad? Either way, thank you for the help and I will definitely try the ideas in that posting. It is quite extensive and covers far more than I attempted so hopefully there is a fix in there.
Edit: I forget to say in my original post that the nozzle only pushed the bed down in one spot, the very center where it contacted the white square. I immediately stopped the print after the crash.

Note that bed level correction is not the same thing as live Z adjustment.
