Heatbed temperature increasing during print

Hi everyone, I have recently assembled my printer and have been getting fantastic results!

I have just started to get a problem where my bed temperature increases throughout the print. The readout on the screen remains at a constant 55°C (when printing PLA) however when checking the bed with an IR thermometer it has actually increased to about 80°C after around 20 minutes of printing which in some cases is causing the print to detach from the bed mid print. The temperature shows both the hotend and bed about 10°C higher than ambient when the printer is cool.

Is the heatbed thermistor failing already, after only 1 week of printing, or could it be something else? Thanks!

Re: Heatbed temperature increasing during print

Sounds like the bed thermocouple is at least partially detached from the bed. You should make sure it has a good solid mechanical (thermal) connection.
