heatbed sets itself to 0
Im really new to 3d printing and so far everything has gone well, I have printed several things without an issue, but now everything i try to print either doesnt start or gets part way through the first layer and stops. Only thing i see thats strange is the heatbed temp while its gets to 55 for some reason it sets itself to 0 and starts cooling down when this happens the print stops. Im hoping its something silly and can be easily corrected just looking for advice. Ive tried changing sd card and problem persists.
Re: heatbed sets itself to 0
Does this happen with files that came pre-loaded on the sd-card (like the prusa logo) as well or is this affecting only prints you're slicing yourself?
Re: heatbed sets itself to 0
i havnt tried to print a preloaded file again i can try that.
Re: heatbed sets itself to 0
no as soon as it completed the 9 point calibration test the screen flickers and the heatbed is set to 0 and print doesnt start, tried to print the prusa logo
Re: heatbed sets itself to 0
On the info screen, it has two number for the heat bed. What it is currently is / what it is set to.
Which one drops suddenly to zero? The what it is, or what it is trying to get to?
The LCD gives no error message? Does the entire print abort? E.g. extruder temp also cools down, like it thinks its done?

Re: heatbed sets itself to 0
The bed and the nozzle both heat up to 215 and 55, it starts the 9 point calibration and when it finishes it goes to the corner to put down a line on the edge of the bed. at that point the bed sets itself to zero and starts cooling down, the nozzle stays where its supposed to. the print never starts and the percentage just goes through till it hits 100% , at the very end there is a err bed mintemp but it clearly is low temp cause it got set to 0. i cant seem to figure out why it goes from being set 55 to 0.
Re: heatbed sets itself to 0
Sounds strange. Could the SD card be corrupt, and the machine thinks it finds EOF early?

Re: heatbed sets itself to 0
ill pick up another sd card in the morning and try that out

Would you make a video? It looks like some kind of hardware issue (faulty connector or cable). The LCD should not flicker at all.
Re: heatbed sets itself to 0
took a video on my phone using a new sd card and a file that i all ready successfully printed once . im just trying to figure out how to attach the video here.
Re: heatbed sets itself to 0
I took off all the wiring on the rambo and reattached everything , i did the firmware again on it and reformatted my sd card. So far the printer is working again i have had 3 successful prints since this. Im not sure what did it or if it was combination of things but for now the problem seems to be resolved. Thank you all for your input
