The key here is that it's working. Leave it alone; if it stops working in the future, then you fix it. If it's not broken don't fix it.
I tend to agree, but my concern is that through a bad connection in a high power item like the heatbed, it might result in worse problems after some time, ...like the board frying, or a fuse burning out or such ...
I really would be happy to see some more pics of the heatbed connection on other printers... so feel free to post yours ppl 🙂

You don't have a high current on the LED; that is limited by the new resistor you put in place to somewhat less than 20mA.
The high current is purely for the heater element.
