Heatbed doesn't work
Halp! For the last 3 weeks I've been having problems with my heatbed. Connectors kept melting no matter how I would assemble them and at some point one of the pins came out of the board. Soldered it back in and that worked for about a week but now the bed doesn't work at all - even when I stick bare cables to the board pins nothing happens :<. I've been using the printer for months and nothing happened and now this... LED dones't light up as well. Any ideas? It feels like there's no power going through headbed pins on the board...

There are fuses on the Rambo board that may have been blown - possibly by a short circuit. Or the wires from the Rambo board to the heatbed may have broken copper strands.

Checked it and all fuses work just okay and in case there's something wrong with the cable i soldered new tips on the rambo side - no changes tho...

Ok... have you measured the power cables from the PSU as well as to the heated bed with a multimeter? Or you can use a 12V lamp instead of the multimeter.

Verify that the switch on the PSU that selects the local voltage is set correctly for your area.
It sounds like you are putting out way to much power to the heat bed, which should be dangerous.
As Henrik said, measure the output voltage of the PSU.

Actually... could you help me out with that? Which settings I should use to meause it properly? Should it beep or something? My first time using multimeter, sorry 😀

Post a picture of your multi-meter and we can try to help - they are all very different. Better yet, finding someone local who has used one would help.

Set the multimeter to DC and 20V or more as scale. If it is a modern digital multimeter is usually will display positive or negative voltage depending on how you measure the wires from the PSU. You also have to insert the probes that you measure with in the right location on the multimeter - depending on what it can measure. So as said - a picture would help to be able to explain how to measure.

Your red lead is probably in the wrong hole.
for most measurements it should be in the middle socket.
the way it's connected at the moment, is used for measuring current. using this setting may damage your meter, or powersupply, be careful...
you are trying to measure voltage or resistabce, not current, use the lower two connectors

Note what Joan said about the cables above - and the dial put in place to the left V -... at measuring scale 20. Then you are ready to take measurements of the PSU as well as the Rambo output to heatbed.

Okay so... for both PSU cables V = 12.1/12.13 and headbed pins on the board show 12.08 so it looks like the bed is broken? Or maybe the cable?

Got it fixed. After checking everything with multimeter I came up with the idea to stick a 9V battery to those big soldered areas on the bed where wires are connected. It was enough for the tiny LED to light up so at that point I knew the cable must be damaged and it turned out to be true.

Well done! You might want to change the wires to ones that have a high copper strand count (500 - 600) and a small diameter per strand (0.07 mm or less). Then you will be somewhat protected agains fatigue of the wires when the wires move in the wire loom. Such a wire is in the 4$ per meter range and are usuall used in laboratory wires.
