Guide to changing PSU Voltage

I've been having trouble with keeping a high temp for extruder + bed to print PETG. I keep getting a "Bed thermal runaway" error, even though it never loses track of the bed's temperature. I've checked all the connections and I don't have this problem if I lower the temperature of the bed to 70C.

I've read in many threads that boosting the voltage to the heater might help, which I'm guessing means opening up the PSU and turning a screw terminal, but I can't find a single mention of how to do this. While I would be fine opening up the PSU just finding this, I'd love to look at a guide if one already exists before I open it up.

Any feedback before I just unscrew the PSU plate and start looking ?

Re: Guide to changing PSU Voltage

under the bottom cover there are six screw terminal connectors for three twelve volt feeds, two pairs are used by the printer, one pair is spare.
adjacent to these connectors is a small variable resistor which can be used to vary the output voltage....

Hope this helps,

regards Joan

Is it obvious how to make this adjustment in a positive direction?

I have just received the 'bed thermal runaway' error message printing with ABS. Before I start to take apart the print bed, I'd like to try this fix.

Re: Guide to changing PSU Voltage

If you measure the voltage when making a small change, you can correlate the direction to the voltage change, if I recall clockwise is increasing voltage.
