[FW 3.0.11] Temperature Calibration Inconsistencies

Hi All!

I'm having some weird behavior with the new temperature calibration.
Since the new update my live-z values are completely different between the heatbed @55C and @100C.

@55C my live z is -.47
@100C my live z is -.9

Maybe the FW is overcompensating for the PINDA temperature deviation?

This happen to be dangerous for the PEI sheet since when I switched from ABS to PLA my heatbed got scratched because of the live z being completely off.

Anyone else is having this problem?

hi javier,
do you use the temperature compensation inside an enclosure, or with an open printer ?
i guess the temperature of the probe didn't reach the target temperature when the printer starts to do the 9-point calibration.

at all, i'm not very convinced about the temperature compensation inside the new firmware. to do a proper temperature compensation you need to know the exact temperature of the probe... which you can - in my mind - only achieve with an additional temperature sensor at the probe.
the problem might be less severe when printing inside an enclosure, but will still persist.

dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...

I don't use an enclosure but the ambient temperature isn't changing that much.
But it's fall over here so I think the room is a little bit cold.

Nevertheless the compensation is way off... Maybe It's because when calibrating the probe is getting warmer for a longer time between the 5 temp but that doesn't make any sense also.
