first turn on and a blank screen and loud noise
I turn on the assembled kit for the first time and the screen lights up blank....and there is a loud continuous noise coming from the LCD and nothing happens. checked all my connections. any ideas?

nevermind....i had the fan in the wrong place

Just letting you know, your post fixed my issue! I had the exact same problem and couldn't figure it out for the life of me until I came across this and found out that I had also plugged the fans in wrong.
