This is new, I think. There is now a group "Global Moderators" and apparently there are 3 PR staff, Anderson Ta and 3 forum members who are members of this group.

Maybe we could do with a Forum Section for chatting about 3D Printers/Printing in general, the Forum, etc. As it is often difficult to now where to post about things like this as it doesn't fall under any of the existing categories on here? Not an off topic section though as I don't think this is the type of forum for that. All posts need to be about somehow related to Prusa Research, it's products, etc. After all not everyone has or wants access to social media... I have no Facebook or Twitter account...
Of course discussion about us becoming moderators does come under improvements really... *polishes nails on jacket... 😆
Oh and I want Ben to be given the Official Title of 3Delight Sycophant Prime as he does grovel exceedingly well (even if does forget the sacrifices)... 😮 😉 😆

Yes I would certainly agree. There is no facebook etc in this house either. Only business account but I dont go on that, I simply link from my blog. 😉

Original Prusa i3 MK2 to General MK2 Discussion or something like that.

I seen that as well, and now we have a new section in the forum, with an explicit hammer logo, guess what an hammer can be used for ^^
A generic section in the forum, for generic discussion seems a good idea, something like "The bar", for open discussion not directly related to printing.

This forum is based on phpBB and as far as I know, global moderators should be able to add section themselves. 😉

I have a few forums myself and global moderators can only moderate posts, threads and users but not edit or delete users (bans can be done though so be carefull all he he). They cannot access the admin backend of the forum. Copied from the admin group permissions description. Not complete
"global moderator permissions such as approving posts, manage topics, manage bans, et cetera"
"administrator permissions such as altering permissions, define custom BBCodes, manage forums, et cetera"
It could be changed but I would always only keep admins in charge of changing forum areas rather then moderators 😉 Moderators are for day to day running of the forum. Admins are for updates and backend permissions and layouts.
I hope there is a hidden forum that you moderators can see and not the public?? This is the area which you can all talk about us in private and also where you can move posts that you wish to discuss before deleting, editing or making available and need a second opinion. Such as some of these "Prusa is a jerk" posts. Although great to see the openess it should have been moved for discussion rather then left out to the public to see.
Anyway who am I to be discussing your guys roles, your doing a great job, keep it up.
