Filament now passing trough /nozzle clean
Hi,
I got my Kit yesterday completed it today, at first all seemed good, it powered up well, calibration done with minor issues, so that it was able to autolevel them. As I tried to print the calibration gcode, it printed, not perfect, lines got some diagonal edges, but it printed, just then I got a severe issue, filament stopped coming out of the nozzle, and it even did not got unloaded. I had to release the string screws and unload manually.
I cleaned the nozzle, but the filaments is just not loading, the display shows loading, but its not getting in and the motor give me a jammed noise.
I took out the nozzle again, and its not working even without the nozzle, if I try to load it manually even with pliers, I dont manage to get filament trough the extruder.
Please help, what can I do? I checked back every step, and the extruder construction seems to be as in the manual.

Looks like you need to disassemble the extruder to clean it out: http://wiki.e3d-online.com/wiki/E3D-v6_Assembly
Most likely cause of the problem is a non-working extruder fan.

Re: Filament now passing trough /nozzle clean
Might be tried to clean the extruder, dissembled all, but no luck with that just not able to do it, wrote today to Prusa support, hope I can send the printer to their service, I mean the extruder should any way be in warranty, will keep you posted
Re: Filament now passing trough /nozzle clean
You are using the free PLA that came with the printer, correct? When the hot end hit the melting temp, you should be able to push the filament with you finger with the extruder back cover off and melted filament should pour down. The bearing moves freely, correct? Can you measure the nozzle temp with a heat gun?
Re: Filament now passing trough /nozzle clean
Yes using the provided průša filament. No chance to pass it with my finger even not with players. I don't have a heat gun to measure the temperature but display showed 220 degrees.

After cleaning the nozzle, can you slide on the acupuncture needle in the opening, does is catch on anything?
Re: Filament now passing trough /nozzle clean
Hi, unfortunately I lost the needle, but if I remove the nozzle and try it with a medical needle, it just will not pass trough and no filament on the needle
Re: Filament now passing trough /nozzle clean
Update, after the discussion with Prusa tech supp. I send the printer back for service, will update you on the resolution
Re: Filament now passing trough /nozzle clean
Hi,
so after I contacted again support, they should come back to me, I saw here in the forum lately more people having basically the same issue. Must say I would expect from the support team at least a email confirming my printer arrived and a date when they will resolve it, instead I had to call them and ask again. Well, lets see what will come back, will keep you updated, but I really hope Prusa will update their documentation, as this issue seem to be common, may be its a beginner issue, but still should be documented.
