Emergency Please HELP lol

Hi guys need some help urgently.

This may sound ridiculous but i ve been printing lego men (20 cm high) for a wedding (my baby brothers .....feel free to judge, i am lol) I ve got 14 left to print that are super hero themed. He s getting married in 3 weeks so now my issue......

The prints have been going great on my prusa mk2 till last night i woke up and my print stalled saying * .......... runaway * (cant remember exactly what but thinking thermal runaway lol) anyway checked all wires on hot end etc all looked fine. Switched off for a few hours switched on started print first 2 runs were great third run it stalled again (same error ) switched off again when i switched on the temp said 715 for hot end but the end was cold.I did a selftest and hotend came back as ok switched on closer inspection i ve noticed the wires to the thermoresistor have come off ( still cant see a reason to why ( i got the upgrade kit in april been printing perfectly till last night nothings pulled the wire or been anywhere near it . my old hot end lasted much longer in fact it still works fine as sold it to mate who needed one anyway back to the story)

how do i fix it ?? haha

do i just need one of these

http://e3d-online.com/Spares/100k-Ohm-NTC-Thermistor-Semitec

with some ferrules ?

I was just gonna but a new hot end but their out of stock and not overly keen on spending nearly 60 quid for a whole hot end but really need it to get this done for his wedding.

Is there any other reason for the original error or is it related ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated 😛

Re: Emergency Please HELP lol

Thermal runaway in your case was caused by the damaged thermistor.

The part you linked is the correct one, plus ferrules and fibreglass sheathing - also from E3D.

EDIT: They are showing stock @ £43: http://e3d-online.com/E3D-v6/Full-Kit/v6-1.75mm-Universal

Re: Emergency Please HELP lol

Sorry, but next time have a little patience. 😉

It took me all of 11 minutes to reply and half that time was spent checking out the E3D web site for you!

Who am I telling you that when I do exactly the same 😳 . We should both take my advice and be patient...
