Hi, I've used dimafix on the latest 3 prints on my smooth PEI sheet with ABS, without seeing any apparent damage to the plate so far.

When I use glue, e.g. for nylon, i always use Dimafix. You have to apply it on the cold bed and it will stick from about 50 degrees Celsius. After printing and cooling the bed you can rinse the glue with water. This will not destroy the PEI film.

I have used MagiGoo and similar adhesion enhancers on my PEI. The PEI has not been damaged from this, but it does require a thorough clean. If you're going to be switching between materials, I'd dedicate a separate (perhaps damaged) PEI surface for that purpose and keep a near-pristine PEI surface for normal PLA or PETG printing. I've got a "hot & sticky" PEI sheet I used any time I'm using high temp materials.

RE: Dimafix on a PEI Sheet ?
Dimafix works like hell. I had always problems with ABS on my MK2S, with Dimafix nothing lifts and warps and the thing is easily washable by water. The surface does not get damaged chemically but unfortunately the adhesion is now actually too much, I just damaged the PEI layer trying to remove a print 🙁 And yes, the bed was completely room temperature.

3D Printer Adhesive Glue by Layerneer, the Magigoo Pen, and Dimafix all work well. Even a simple glue stick will work. As said above, they will promote adhesion without hindering removal. There are more options such as hair spray. Dimafix is also available in a can in Europe. I have never tried it. I suspect it works like Aquanet. Aquanet works well because it is easy to get a thin uniform surface.
