Copperfill issues, and clogging
Hi all, I've printed some with Copperfill. Had some great successes, great pieces that tumbled beautifully.
Right when I thought I had Copperfill figured out, things have gone awry. 🙁
Rubbery output. My last couple prints were not very solid. When removing from the plate, they tended to distort and bend as if the plastic was too soft (even though the plate was at room temp). One that I got off without distorting crumpled in my tumbler. I had tumbled one just like it a month before without issue.
I thought maybe my material was old, so I swapped to a new roll of copperfill. But, I'm getting the same results. Did I get a bad batch? Is it too old?
This new roll has clogged my nozzle twice, requiring replacement.
I've used PLA setting with retraction set to 4.5.
Advice? Setting that work? Anything?

No experience with Copperfill. Sorry.
But that is too much retraction for a MK2, and will cause clogs.
Try setting retraction to 0.8mm and a retraction speed of 10m/s.

Copperfill - as small a retraction as possible; less than 0.5mm and 15mm/s speed. Also 0 wipe.
Try without retraction - yes it will string, but that's easy enough to wipe off. Keep printing speeds high and temp low.
Strangely, lower layer heights (at faster speeds) worked better for me.

I know this is an old thread, but this info may be useful to others.
First attempt with copperfill: I started by researching what settings others were having success with and trying them out. No luck... bad prints. Then I simply selected the ColorFabb Brass Bronze filament setting already available in Slic3r PE and it works great. I just finished a 17 hour copperfill print and it's almost flawless.
