Comparing esun abs+, hatchbox abs and REAL filament abs
I have compared the 3 filaments as in the title to see wich one performed best, and i came to a simple conclusion that there are minor differences, but that there is no such thing as "premium" filament, and that it's mostly a case of people who want to justify their purchase in my opinion.
All filaments were tested in the same settings. 100 degrees bed, 245 degrees extruder and 110mm/s speed.
In terms of quality and finish, REAL filament is the best, but only by a small small small amount, i cant even explain whats improved and photos also won't work. It's really minor. However there are no sticky plastic "threads/wires" sticking around with real filament, wich was pretty minor with hatchbox and esun abs+ filament, but they are not there with the REAL filament.
Hatchbox and esun abs+ are really the same in pretty much everything.
In terms of smell, they all smell bad, and each have their own unique "smell", however it's the least apparant in REAL filament again, the smell is simply less there.
So what i can conclude is that the prusa mk2 printed is too good, that it doesn't care about filaments, or that there is no such thing as premium filaments, because differences are very minor.
So i can recommend everyone with a mk2 printed to just buy cheap filament, but not from a source that is REALLY cheap, i'm still scared for garbage filaments from china (even though esun is also chinese)
All the 3 filaments mentioned in this review basicly have the same price for me in the netherlands, and hatchbox is not available in black anymore for me.
