Catastrophic failure.

I left a print running at 1am and my wife woke me up just now to tell me the printer sounded funny.

I can downstairs to find the parts had been knocked off the bed and the head was actually jammed behind the bed.

Worse than the giant blob stuck to the bottom of the head was the pla that had obviously oozed out...

I have no idea how to fix this. The prusa is my first printer and I’ve only had it less than a year. Is the head basically toast? How do I fix this?

Re: Catastrophic failure.

The pictures are a bit dark so forgive my question but is any of the parts on the head actually damaged? I had a similar failure and all I basically did was heat up the head to 260 and started cleaning bits of filament from everywhere with paper towels and being super careful around the probes. My heating block is a bit scuffed but more or less everything seems cleaned up now. Don't know if that will help. I am sure others who have a ton more experience can chime in but hopefully its a start.

Not sure. I removed a few blobs at 250 but when I turned it up to 270 there was some smoke and I was concerned. Going to try higher temp when I get home.
