Broken Pinda holder on extruder body
I thought that this phase (step 22 on extruder assembly) would be easy, after the other steps.
But i tried to insert the pinda probe with his nut in the correct hole of the extruder body... but the hole is really very small.
I tried to use some sandpaper to stretch the hole, and after ten minutes pushed the nut of Pinda probe in place, but the holder in which the nut insert broke.
Now i don't know what to do. Someone could tell me if the extruder plastic body is replaceable? I don't know if this hole is normally so small... impossible to push the nut normally.
As an alternative, can i repair this part? I think the this part will be stressed a little during every calibration phase. How is the best solution?
Re: Broken Pinda holder on extruder body
If you can repair the part with Superglue (or even acetone) then do that for the time being.
In any event, contact support and give them a link to this thread; I am sure you will be able to obtain a replacement.

EDIT: there is almost no stress on this part at all. I am not aware of anyone else mentioning this problem, so most likely a one-off bad print.

Re: Broken Pinda holder on extruder body
Probe holder gets no stress regardless of printing phase. The probe doesn't touch anything. Only when print fails (bad adhesion causes lifting/curling), it could hit the printed object.
Try to glue it together. Use either acetone or superglue (CA), maybe even hot glue could help. Then print damaged part yourself (source STLs are available) from ABS and replace.
Re: Broken Pinda holder on extruder body
I had the exact same issue, however it does not really matter, it does not impact the calibration.
The part is already printed, but I postpone the replacement of the part due to the effort to redo all the cable management 😉
I'm like Jon Snow, I know nothing.

I can see four solutions:
Best of luck with it whatever you choose!

Thanks a lot to everyone.
I contacted Prusa support to ask for help.
Now i wait for them to understand how to go on.
RE: Broken Pinda holder on extruder body
Anyone have a link for the replacement part needed to fix the broken pinda holder?

Darn, I just replied to a 3 year old post.
Colin, what printer do you have a problem with? The stl files for all Prusa printer parts are available on their GitHub page.
