Bed Leveling Failed....Waiting for Reset
My normally trusty, normally dialed in MK2S is driving me nuts.
My bed leveling is suddenly failing at point 4 (but only when I'm doing a 'real print'.
xyz calibration reports everything is acceptable
I run the calibration_v2.gcode and dial in my z-height (currently -.85)
The next thing I attempt to print (same material and bed temp as the calibration.gcode), the bed leveling fails at the 4th point (it first drives the nozzle into the bed, then backs off).
I then have the always helpful message: Bed leveling failed (duh). Sensor didn't trigger (worked fine in xyz cal and calibration print). Debris on nozzle (no)? Waiting for reset.
I ran through xyz and calibration_v2 3 times tonight and get this each time I attempt a actual print (using slic3r pe) and the setup I've used for 5 months.
Any sage advice on this?

Yeah, this happened to me a couple of weeks ago on my older printer.
I have a feeling that over time the bed changes shape slightly and suddenly one morning, this error occurs.
I started again with calibration (and for some reason, the bed was "slightly skewed" - it's always reported "perpendicular" previously and the printer has not been moved). Ended up lowering the probe a little and now have a Live Z 300 microns lower than before.

What I don't understand is the part where it calibrates and runs a calibrationv2 code and prints a very nice pattern, then fails when I attempt any normal print.
I'll try starting over from the top, including moving the pinda probe.
I also found this reference to testing the pinda and mesh bed results, that might reveal something

Possibly the probe at a different temperature?

Just to follow up and maybe help someone else.
I'm not sure how, but my pinda probe height was too high. This is strange because I use a spacer tool to set the height, so my pinda must have taken a hit or wasn't tightened down enough. Any way, I'm back to printing, now I'm just battling settings for having a cool to cold garage to print in 😀

So my i3 mk2S started doing this exact thing just this morning. in only one place. (Right rear corner)
Worked great when I ran a full calibration on it then did it again, RR again.
I raised the PINDA and then did a print (PET) and it worked as normal, but then decided to print something else in a different material (PLA), and the same thing happened. again this time Right-Middle of the bed. I tested the probe by putting a piece of metal under it and I can see the light go out, I can see it blink rapidly as it hits various points on the bed as well.
I've raised it once again but in both cases it crashed the head into the bed, making a small dent which isn't desirable. I'm wondering what are the chances that the PINDA is failing?
