Auto calibration rammed nozzle into bed, bed not level
Hi there
last week I assembled my MK2 together... was fun but also very frustrating. During the calibration process the nozzle got rammed in the PEI foil (have to exchange it today (gone try a Lokbuild)). I made the calibration twice... after the "severly skewed" message the first time I decided to correct a few screws and run the calibration the second time. Didn't change the position of the probe. The process finished point one and proceeded to point two... there it rammed the nozzle in to the bed and startet moving so the PEI foil got really damaged (unfortunately my kids were distracting me and I didn't react quickly enough). I did nothing else but power off and restart and then it worked.
Finally everything was working a few hours later and I now discovered that the bed is not level. The nozzle hight is not the same if I move the head from home position to x and y. And the bed calibration does not really do any good. Now I'm not so sure if anything got destroyed during the "nozzle into bed ramming"???
In my opinion this is a warranty case but it's difficult with a kit I guess... difficult to proofe I'm innocent 😉
Any ideas what to to or what could have happened?

What happened was that your kids were distracting you and you didn't react quickly enough... 😉
Seriously, don't change the PEI yet, wait until you have it properly set up. You can move models to print around the damage for now.
When moving the nozzle around the bed, the auto-bed levelling does not function; only when printing. and be aware that in any event, the bed-levelling will be dependant on the induction readings which will be different at each point and will require some manual bed levelling adjustments to be made (from the menu).
If the calibration is working OK, print a few models and make any necessary adjustment; get used to the printer, then change the PEI sheet.

well I wasn't clear enough sorry about that... the printer is working fine meanwhile and I moved a few objects to print around the damaged spot indeed. But now I have a 21cm x 16cm base to print... 😉
And about the children... 3 girls... one had nosebleeding and run into my office... and then the PEI foil got nosebleeding 😉 🙁 🙁 🙁

So if my first layers are pretty squished in front and not enough squished in the back what typical settings would you apply in the bed level correction?
I tried everything up to -50 front and +50 back... nothing changed...

Wrong way around. You need to raise the nozzle at the front (+50) and lower at the back (-50).
You can increase the values in GCode to 100 microns:
G80 F100 B-100

EDIT: The link in the video you posted (yes, I know it's deleted, but I had a look anyways...) the live Z adjust needs to be correct in the centre of the bed, and not the front left (auto-home) corner. The centre is the only point which cannot be manually adjusted.

If you are interested, here are my calibration squares.
Slice without brim/skirt and print. Get the centre correct using Live Z Adjust and then correct the remainder using the manual adjustment.
