Another week - another problem. Error: MINTEMP
So Error: MINTEMP is the problem I got this time. Tried to unplug the termistors for bed and extruder to see if it changes anything but it doesn't. All connectors seem to be in tact. Another thing is - when I press the "X" button I get these strange symbols/letters
Re: Another week - another problem. Error: MINTEMP
Your extruder thermistor is open circuit.
If you have a connector on the thermistor wiring at the rear of the extruder, check it is firmly connected. Also check the thermistor plug on the RAMBo and the thermistor cabling from the heat block

Re: Another week - another problem. Error: MINTEMP
Hi Marcin,
it looks like your extruder thermistor is open circuit.
I was able to temporarily use the thermistor off my old Mk1 extruder, to make a repair.
I have asked Prusa to replace this item as it was dead on arrival, but they seem to be ignoring me at the moment. 🙁
best wishes Joan

Re: Another week - another problem. Error: MINTEMP
This popped up for me after powering up my printer for the second time. I just did another power cycle and the message went away. I have the 2 part therm so I'm planning on securing the join better.
Re: Another week - another problem. Error: MINTEMP
Okay so. I have one extra thermistor which I bought a while ago just in case. When I unplug the extruder termistor everything seems okay. The problem is - when I plug in the brand new thermistor the problem appears again so... is it RAMBO?
Re: Another week - another problem. Error: MINTEMP
To be more specific - with extruder thermistor unplugged I don't get the strange symbols problem but still have mintemp.
Re: Another week - another problem. Error: MINTEMP
Just a question. I am the first to ask it, Was your printer provided as pre-built. Or did you build it from a kit? There are missed steps as shown in your printer pictures. Missed steps implies a miss overall in the build.

Re: Another week - another problem. Error: MINTEMP
I built it myself. I'm presuming you're talking about missing zipties? Totally forgot about that part to be honest 😀
Re: Another week - another problem. Error: MINTEMP
I have seen this error message too. I was assuming it was because the thermistors temp was below the minimum. My printer is in my unheated work shop and I have only seen it on cold evenings. Try preheating a bit then power cycle and it goes away every time. I could be totally off on my assumption but give it a try.

Ryan
When either temperature reading is below 15 degrees, the printer will not run - that is programmed in firmware.
When the 2 temp readings differ so at room temp much there has to be another cause.
