ABS Help
So last night I was printing some PLA and it was printing flawlessly.
I then printed some objects with ABS and they printed ok, a bit rough on top but still not bad.
Today I made an enclosure for my printer to perhaps improve the print quality with ABS, but now prints with ABS do not stick at all.
I have cleaned the print bed with IPA and tried with and without gluestick to improve adhesion.
I have also tried to change the live z-adjust to no effect. (Was being careful with this as it can cause the nozzle to touch the plate right?)
It seems like the abs just slides across the build plate instead of adhering to it as the extruder tries to lay down the perimeter for my print.
This is with inland gray ABS filament, which I have tried at the standard ABS settings as well as 260 extruder, 110 bed, abd 235 extruder 110 bed.
It was working fine last night so I really am lost as to what the problem is.
I have also tried prints with PLA again and they work fine.
I have had my printer for about a month and a half or so, and am still fairly new at some of this stuff.
I would greatly appreciate any help someone could provide.
If this is not enough information, let me know and I will try to provide more information.
UPDATE: Now my larger PLA print is warping on one side, this is the same side that had a rough surface for the ABS last night. I am going to try recalibrating the printer.
UPDATE 2: PLA is printing mostly fine again, now it seems as if the nozzle is dripping too much filament while moving. That first line it lays down in the corner seems to get carried towards the beginning part of the print. This problem can also be observed with the skirt around the object getting caught and pulled into the object being printed. I have not ventured to try ABS again, going to finish the parts I need for tomorrow out of PLA and dabble with ABS when time isn't limited.

Try put bed temp to 30 dergrees. may sound bit radical, but it has worked sometimes for me.

I cannot stress enough how you absolutely NEED to re-calibrate. When I built my enclosure, I built it first and then simply moved my printer into it. This caused a ton of first layer issues for me until I completely re-calibrated. Additionally I ran into further issues were my frame was slightly skewed from the movement which caused my front left calibration point to be missed. After some tweaking and triple measuring of how square the Y-Assembly was I re-calibrated and now have absolute success with ABS prints.

With your update 2: What's your z-live adust at? it sounds to me like it's laying down that priming layer then that is being pulled to where the print starts. with proper bed adhesion, that priming strip will stay where it is, and poor first layer squish can easily cause it to not stick. you definetly need to get your pla working great before you try ABS, it's the grumpy grandpa and will easily not cooperate if your not setup right.

I am having many problems all of a sudden again. I was printing PLA fine again after recalibrating the printer, and even managed to get ABS working fine after that. Now all of a sudden the ABS will not stick again, and recalibrating did not help this time. My live z adjust has been at around -530 or so.
Now suddenly the knob on the front of the printer will not click so I cannot navigate the menus on the printer.
I'm getting so frustrated with the inconsistent way this thing seems to go from working perfectly to completely wrong between prints.
I have no idea what to do about the knob button either, and would really appreciate some help.
Actually, if someone could tell me how to get the lcd board out of its 3d printed case safely I might try one of the 3d printed enclosures for it that go on top of the printer enclosure and check the cables while I am at it. I just have no idea how to get this thing out.
UPDATE: Managed to fix the button, going to continue trying to get things working properly.

For me the "secret" to ABS (and other) printing success was:
- cleaning the bed with Acetone (not much, just put a bit on a rag and wipe thoroughly 2-3 times
- recognizing that the pinda probe is temperature sensitive
The latest firmware has a pinda warmup option, where the printer moves the probe close to the heatbed for 2 minutes before measuring the 9 calibration points.
if you don't want to use that, or have not updated yet, always put the probe in the same spot and do the live z-adjust with the bed heated to the temperature you use.
then put the probe in that spot when heating up for printing, and it should give the same results every time.

I'm worried now that something is seriously wrong with my printer.
I was printing a bed level test that makes lines across the majority of the bed and decided to stop the print.
This was because in some places it was lifting off the bed. When I stopped the print, the print head quickly moved to the left and grinded against the end stop.
PLA is printing very stringy, and I am having a hard time getting a good z adjustment because of it.
I'm getting so tired of fussing with this... I bought it assembled for less hassle and it was working well. Now I can't seem to get it to do anything.
