Re: 2 Days and still can't print
I am about a week into using my Mk2 and I had the same problems the first day.
First I had to figure out the Live Z and got the V2 calibration down. I had to adjust Live Z to -.80 to -1.2 to get the right flow pattern. Make sure you are on Negative (-) or you are raising the Z instead of lowering it. Once I did that I had the right distance and "squish". However I couldn't really get the PLA to stay on the bed. What worked for me was using the glue stick provided and then a new wet sponge to wipe the surface which left a slight glue film that held everything down. I did about 15 prints this way and when I started having hold down issues I did the process over again.
That was the least of my problems since I have X Axis problems now that are not so easy to fix. I am getting serious concerns about this printer purchase and wondering why I am having so many issues now. 🙁
Re: 2 Days and still can't print
Dennis,
Use 95% or higher Isopropyl Alcohol to clean the bed. You can use Acetone also (Nail polish remover) Once I did that my sticking to the bed issues have gone away. Using anything less does not work. I don't even have to use the glue stick. Also with PLA bump the bed temp to 60 C. This makes a big difference.
Please describe your X axis issue so we can help figure that out. The people in the forums are really good at helping out if they have the details of the problem.
I was frustrated starting out also but reading the forums and the people here are helpful and now I am really pleased with the unit.
