Why is it necessary to unload totaly all colors after stopping a print?

Hi all!

This feature sucks really! 😕

I had some problems with live-z calibration an had to abort some prints.
Every time i had to do the complete load procedure.
Unloading the active pipe would be enough. Better, just to move the E-4 retraction like after priming or color change.
I use the "X" instead of stopping now .... but this could not be the best choice.

Any Ideas to change this by custom code or else?

I cannot recall ever unloading all filaments after a cancelled print.

NOTE: I do use Octoprint.

I try to cancel the print during the wipe - I do nothing. If that is not possible, then I raise the nozzle, set the temp to 215 and unload the filament which was printing at the time.

My printer does this as well. If you issue a stop print from the control wheel it stops the print and then ejects everything from the extruders. Quite annoying. I personally think it should just retract the current active extruder back into the multiplexer and thats it.

Apparently this is a known issue and is being addressed.

As with all software, it will be released when it's ready...

I just hit the reset when it asks me to do this. Yes its annoying. Its also annoying it raises the Z height to unload as I always have to manually move the height off the bed all the time anyways.

The default position of the extruder needs to be high enough to get my brass brush under to clean off the nozzle so I always have to move it manually. This is a horrible annoyance.

Do you have the latest firmware and latest slicer?
