The Palette?

I actually didn't know this thing https://www.mosaicmanufacturing.com/ ever existed and they're already 3 years down the road. The idea is very good considering that this is the multi-colour filastruder. Only the downside that this thing can only used for a single material, abs and abs, pla and pla only.

How it "interacts with the software I don't know cause i kinda lazy to do more research on this thing. This thing however I'm pretty sure able to reduce the waste of filament due to flushing to get clear colour after the switching.

But my prediction is that Josef Prusa might develop something similar to this without much hassle or anything. Sorry, not much to say, only from my point of view from pictures on their official site, not based on people's review

Re: The Palette?

Yeah, I saw this a while back.

There are a couple of drawbacks I can see:

The printer must work 100% without any skipping.
There has to be a point where the colours mix during the change; there will be some of the previous colour left around the sldes of hte heat break/nozzle.
The cost of the device
The device's footprint and where it would be located.

They do include the filament movement sensor as well. I wonder how well this thing is?
