Support settings to print whale?

I’m working on moving to soluble supports for some of my complex models but I’m a bit lost. As a test, I want to try the jumping whale but I can’t get the newest version of Slic3r to give me a preview that looks like the example posted to the site. Are there settings somewhere that I can follow to get the same result? Does anyone have experience with soluble supports that might have some suggestions for the whale or other complex models needing soluble supports ? I’ve got a spool if PVA+ and I’m printing with PLA.

Re: Support settings to print whale?

I noticed that the model has gaps into the interior and can't be printed with any infill, thus slic3r wants to print support inside which is annoying. Not sure if that is your problem or not. From the outside it builds supports just fine if you use interface only settings. I haven't printed it in large scale yet though due to the problem I stated above, I don't trust that build plate only support is enough since I can't get it to print with any infil 😐
