Hello, I just bought a printer I3-MK2S original at home.
I exchange a lot of my impressions on the mailing lists.
If I am quite happy with the printer, I am very disappointed to have to buy an expensive "multi hardware" kit to enjoy the filament: Verbatim BVOH Soluble Support 500g.
Several people reacted by saying that there was way to use the soluble filament without buying a kit very expensive?
Do you have an opinion or a solution please!
I am very new, I am an artist (www.art-today.eu) and not a computer scientist, so I would need a SIMPLE solution.

I've been reviewing the use of Verbatim BVOH for water soluble supports also, but I'm new and I don't get my printer for awhile. Just so you know there is an option to the product you're looking at and it costs half the price.
A follow up question to this post might be to find out if others have printed using both and what are the pro's and con's of each.

Try polysupport from polymaker. I use it all the time with mmu,
in fact it is the only support material I use. I can get away without using
water soluble supports.
It is less expensive and easier to use than soluble.
Also, you can use it with or without multimaterial upgrade.

How would you print supports with only 1 extruder?

joris.m , You can only print with only single material and the supports will come out easily.

At the very end , there is a ball bearing printed using single material.
It works really well, their videos are real, reflect my experience with the material.
I use it in multi material prints with soluble print profile (ie. 0mm z separation).
Also, used it occasionally in single material prints, with regular support profile (Ie. 0.2mm z separation)
