Single Material Prints Work Fine, Multi Material Do Not
Hello Forum,
So, I've had my MMU upgrade for about a month now, and I am yet to get a single multi-material print to work. Files I slice for single mode work fine (regardless of which extruder I used). However, when I try to print a multi-material file (either a pre-sliced or one of my own) it doesn't extrude any filament (not even the purge line). I hear a clicking sound from the extruders, and the filament slipping back when it makes the sound. The stepper motors seem to be eating away at the filament, as the part of the filament in the motor is chewed up when I unload.
Like I said above, single color prints work fine with all 4 of the extruders, so I know that they do work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update:
The ends of the filament looked like then when I took them out (all 4 had jammed). Had to yank them all out. All were inserted with a clean 45º angle tip.

Try reducing the temperatures by 10 degrees. This was happening to me too, fixed with the lower temperatures.

Try reducing the temperatures by 10 degrees. This was happening to me too, fixed with the lower temperatures.
Out of curiosity, how low are you doing for PLA? Currently, I'm doing 210 for the first layer, 205 for the rest (what I was using for my printer before the upgrade). Should I go down to 200 first layer and 195 for the rest then?

This is not an uncommon problem. Read the forum titled Blockage troubleshooting — all 27 pages. Your problem may be that the PTFE tube is not fitting tightly against the heat break. Check out PJR’s entries and instructions on the forum. Also, I agree that lowering the print temperature to 200/195 may help.

Pre MMU, I was 215/210. Now 205/200. (210/205 worked for Hatchbox metalics, but for the brighter colors I needed the extra 5 deg.)

I seem to remember reading somewhere that it is better to snip the filament at 90° instead of 45°.
That is probably irrelevant to your current situation, but I'd thought I'd mention it here.
I allways snipping straight, and have almost no problems with my MMU.
