You have the connector from demux ("SuperSwitch") to RAMBo incorrect.

yes i think so with red cable is closest to the edge of the board. as shown in instructions.

i am going to try re-flashing the board when i get home as advised i will also shoot a video of the issue to help the development team.

Re: Having issue with loading

I realize this is an old thread, but since the same thing just happened to me, I thought I would post the answer (I am assuming josh.s5 is now up and running.)

It should be no surprise that Peter was correct. The connection to the Rambo was slide over to the right one pin (the red wire was hanging in mid air).

Once fixed, now the MMU loads correctly.

An now, I begin my learning curve over again.

Re: Having issue with loading

I apologize for necro-ing this thread, but I am also having issues loading filament into my printer. It starts the slow load process on filament 1, then quickly reverses/retracts after I press the knob/button on the LCD panel. Filaments 2, 3, and 4 do the slow load, then stop (not even starting into the PTFE Bowden tubing). After getting the nozzle to an "acceptable" temp, I can unload specific filaments or all filaments (retracts from 1 through 4).

I have the older electronics board, but didn't get a chance to upgrade my printer until a couple weeks ago. My original extruder motor is LDO 016 012 020 and the extruder motors that came with my MMU kit are LDO 017 006 008. I have been troubleshooting with Douglas in the online chat for almost a week without any clear resolution.

I have tested with firmware 3.0.12 (latest release) and 3.0.12-5 (latest update on github). I have gone through the wiring multiple times to make sure everything is correct per the online guide. I even went through every connection on the RAMBo and the MMU switch board and labeled every cable connection like a crazed zealot.

Attached are photos of the last state of my printer's wiring. I have both power connections from the PSU going to the RAMBo. I have both serial ribbon cables going to the LCD panel. I have the thermistors for the bed and nozzle connected, just to prevent nagging. I have the extruder drive from the RAMBo connected to the MMU switch board. And, lastly, I have the logic connection under the LCD connectors on the RAMBo going to the MMU upgrade board.

Looking at the codes on the extruders, I am guessing they are the manufacturing/build date codes. I am guessing I have either a bad MMU switch board or a bad logic port on my RAMBo.

It's been over a week waiting on an email from PR, so does anybody else have an idea on what the issue could be?

Thanks,

Sterling

PS: Here's a video of the slow feed then quick reverse/retract on extruder 1. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8ROqFkvSGAUNFhlV1BEbml1V3M/view
