Re: Giving up...

Could you post a couple of your creations? Despite the threads espousing "disaster" there are still a few of us interested in purchasing the MMU.

Absolutely. My first three prints as described before you can see in Marvin, Gecko. and the Gear. Note that the Gecko may seen rough only because my cat found it to be 'real' and she proceeded to chew on it and actually bite off it's left hind foot. Another reason to print in PETG! 🙂

And it was nice to print Baby Grout without having to paint in the eyes.

The hurricane print is documented here: https://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/hall-of-fame-best-3d-prints-f15/hurricane-irma-t5911.html

The MK2S LCD cover is another example.

Re: Giving up...

On a more practical note, my airline Captain neighbor challenged me with a project to fix his crystallized GPS in his light aircraft. He gave me this:

I used DesignSpark to create this:

Which resulted in this:

The white accents are not of the original bezel but having the MMU I was able to enhance the factory bezel much to the delight of the Captian and his father.

Re: Giving up...

....and last but not least... I was intrigued by the windmill prints on the extruder motor of the MK2S and MK3 so I decided to create my own paying homage to the nation of the creator...

With this in mind I submit this:

Re: Giving up...

...okay, one more least...

The grey Lego train tracks are great but not for a winter village. So I used MMU to create a more realistic track for the time of year...
I should say that I printed over 20 straight and 20 curved tracks to complete our village.

I am also working on a filament counter to embed in my filament case...work in progress...

I hope these are enough examples for y'all to see what is possible from a logical engineering perspective.

Jerry.
