Extruding troubles

So far I have only managed one multi material print. Since then I have done a few single colour prints and now I am trying to do the chimera model. The problem is that it prints for around 2 hours then one of the colours seems to jam. I have stripped the multiplexer and cant find any blockages. Pushing filament though manually works in all 4 holes. I have tried 3 times now with different filaments in each extruder and it seems to be random which one stops working. It is getting very frustrating and I am beginning to wish I had never bought this - the original never had any problems until I upgraded to MM

Re: Extruding troubles

I had similar problems, i used to get a blob at the end of the filament that would jam...
try reducing your retraction settings to say 1.5mm

with a longer retraction, the filament randomly jams in the heatbreak area

Thanks, I altered the retraction but no difference. I also notice that the filament is retracting over 50mm back into the ptfe on all but extruder one so it is no wonder it won't print. Anyone else have this problem?

Re: Extruding troubles

Best thing to do is to zip up one of your G-code files (preferably a small model with some tool changes) and attach it to a post.

You are definitely not alone with that issue and I also regret to have done this upgrade to MM 😥
