Extruder 2 not extruding
Hello all.
I have the MM upgrade and have a couple standoffs I am trying to print. I've used Slic3r PE to specify 4 copies of a 17mmx8mm standoff. I have gray filament in the second extruder, so I dbl-clicked on the group of washers and chose "2" for the extruder, then sent it off to Octopi.
The printer starts the print by laying down the typical starting line at the front of the print bed, however, nothing is printed. I feel the filament moving back and forth in small jumps from the extruder, and it's clicking while moving. I've unloaded and re-loaded that filament a couple times, and it's made a couple clicking sounds, but finally fed the filament all the way. I think there is something wrong.
1) How long do I let the filament be taken up by the motor before clicking the button on front to tell the motor to forward the filament down the tube to the hotend? I've been giving it maybe 2-3mm before pressing the button. Is that not enough?
2) Could it be the pressure is wrong on that extruder, or the gear has become misaligned or loose?
