Beginning Assembly
I am starting assembly of my MK2S kit. Pray for me. Or just laugh at the idea.
Crossing My Fingers,
Neal
Sorry, posted this in the wrong area. I am building just the MK2S kit.
Apologies.
Re: Beginning Assembly
Just finished mine, and printing away. Here are my first reactions to the kit/build and to the prints.
Kit observations:
1) Well thought out, fun build, with 90-95% good instructions. Its all there, you just need to seek it a bit.
2) Finish on the new parts is really cool. Not just bed surface, but all the surfaces.
3) Easy assembly. Weak link is the BOX for the multiplexer. Blech. Might spin my own later. Needs a bit more room inside, and thicker walls, and more secure "latching". But that is a very minor thing. Not a fan of the filament spool holder either, but already have my own. It is okay for what it is.
4) Like the end result. Clean four extruder system.
First observations on the prints: (I am just starting!)
1) Wow, that is a four color print!
2) That took a while.
3) Wow, that is a four color print!
4) That waste tower is larger that I thought.
5) Wow, that is a four color print!
Overall very happy. I am sure your install will go well too.

Re: Beginning Assembly
Stopped at installing power supply. Build has gone pretty good so far. Going slow and triple checking. Starting to get tired and heavy handed so best to stop now and come back later. Taking so long being so careful.

Yeah, that's still happening with me...
That waste tower is larger that I thought.
That is no longer happening with me, except when using very small layer heights...

If you go to the shop pages, on your order history page near the bottom, there is an anticipated shipping schedule for the MMU.
