Question about error message (Heater/Thermistor Not Connected)
I ran the self test after a print stopped with the thermal runaway error, and when it got to testing the heated bed it gave me the error message "Heater/Thermistor Not connected". Does this mean it's definitely a heated bed issue or could it be the extruder, since both have a thermistor to monitor temperature.
Initially after the thermal runaway error I noticed the bed wouldn't heat up past 32 degrees, so I checked the connection from the RAMBO to the back of the bed with my multi-meter and the signal would break up as I moved the cable, so I cut a bit off the cable and re-soldered and the signal was consistent. I thought the problem was fixed but ran the self test and got the error message mentioned above, which leads me to believe it's either the thermistor going to the bed or the one going to the extruder (although less likely since it seems to keep the temperature there as it should).
Just wanted to confirm I'm on the right track before I buy replacement parts. Thanks.
RE: Question about error message (Heater/Thermistor Not Connected)
Thermistor wire on my headbed broke and I got similar issue. I wrote Prusa and it was still under warranty and they send me a new thermistor. Same thing the connection would break as I moved the bed.
Here is my email response from them.
"If the temperature of the LCD is changing when the heatbed is moving and the error appears depending on the heatbed position, it is a problem with the heatbed thermsitor.
We will send you a new one during next days. Wait for it, replace it and let me know how is going."
If I find my video I will post it.
