MM setup: only one extruder activates when loading 1-4

When I try to load all of the filaments (1-4), whether its the "load all" option or independent, only extruder 1 activates for all 4. This is the first time using the MM setup. I also have the latest MM version of the firmware uploaded. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Most likely a cable issue; re-check and check again, especially the connection to the RAMBo.

Hi Corey,
I an assuming this is MMUv1

which version of latest firmware are you using on the Multi media setup? is it 3.0.1?

there are two multi wire cables between the Rambo and the Stepper Switch board!

are they both the correct way round and connected to the correct points on the Rambo and switch board?

I had odd things happenning like motors occasionally going backwards due to poor connections on these cables

taking them off and on a couple of times, resolved my issue... (Seems like years ago)

Hi Joan,

I have the latest version dowloaded on my printer (3.1.0) from the Prusa site. I have also attached pics of my connections. Pic 1 shows the first cable going under the lcd display ribbon. This cable goes to the "MK42" connector on the MM controller board (top right facing the board). Pic 2 shows the second cable going to the bottom 4 pin connector under the X, Y, and Z motor connections. It runs to the "E IN" connector on the MM controller board (top middle facing the board). Let me know if you need anything else.

Regards, Corey

Peter,

Just now saw your post after Joan's. I'll start wiggling wires and doing some continuity checks.

All motors are good. I tested them on the port for extruder 1. But I still get signal to extruder 1 port when I try to load filaments 2-4. Any suggestions? Is there a good way to test the stepper switch?

Trying to revive this post as Prusa forums were down for a bit. Is there any good way to test the stepper switch? Thanks in advance.
