Re: Existing MMU owners discount vouchers
Wow, even yours is out of service now. What a disaster 😯
At this point I would‘t trust them. There‘s absolutely no reason for the june deadline except they want to put up pressure to prefinance the development. It‘s not a startup anymore!
Re: Existing MMU owners discount vouchers
Hi Nils,
I got fed up with the festo's chewing the ends off the PTFE tubes.
I know the tubes are expendable, but I thought they were being damaged too easily
and i was getting more feed issues than I was comfortable with, so I am using the Mk3 rather than persisting with the MMU v1
I am dissapointed with the delay but looking forward to the V2 MMU
we each have different outlooks, I am currently Optomistic that the V2 will out perform the V1

I just ordered the mk2.5 upgrade + the mmu1 to mmu2 upgrade.
The advantage of it only arriving in 6 months is that when it arrives at my doorstep quite a few bugs will have been squashed and some parts improved (as with my mk3).
Currently still printing with an mk3 and an mk2s MMU. mk3 is a lot faster though.
Re: Existing MMU owners discount vouchers
Hey guys, just reading you and understanding that is not only me the one with all this problems... The only way to print without stringing is with Polymaker PLA for me... 4.5mm retraction and 205 degrees.
Has anyone downgraded to mk2s? I don't remember if there is something that makes it impossible to do it. Just wanted to know if there's a good experience around before trying to do it on weekend.
Thanks!

Re: Existing MMU owners discount vouchers
Yep, I did it and no regrets so far and most importantly no quality issues and not a single misprint. Printer is a bit louder again (heavier carriage, spool again on top of frame). Make sure you use the original hotend, or if you absolutely must use the MMU hotend acquire a standard heatbreak for it.

OK great. Thanks for the info.
