X-Axis allways getting out of calibration
Hi,
I am having a problem with my X-Axis. I bought my Prusa already built. When it prints, at one point the X-Axis is out of calibration and the 0 position is offset. This makes the printer layers to shift and at some place the filament as no more support. This scrap the print. When this happens, after I stopped the print, when I use the control to move the extruder to the far right X position, the extruder goes too far and the motor jerks for a few steps. When it does not jerks anymore, the X-Axis is back to its position and it can find the 4 calibration points. If I do not do that, the X-Axis is offset by few steps and nothing works.
I have short videos that show the problem I have. Tell me if it would be useful for me to upload them.
Thanks,
JR

Hi,
I ran the auto-test. It says that the length of the X-Axis is not good?!?!? Why is that? What should I do. I update the firmware recently.

Go on Chat to Prusa support.

@towlerg
Thanks... I would like to try to fix it before because I was able to print before and I had to dismantle the extruder. I think it could be wires that are touching the structure somewhere.

OK I chated with the help desk... the guy found it very fast... my rod was dirty... I clean it with alcool.... and lubricated with WD40
