Ok well I set it up to print again, and after the first level, what happens is that the fan kicks on, at 255, causing the hotend temp to drop. Is there a way to fix this?

the standard Prusa PETG profile calls for 30 to 50% cooling. perhaps reducing the cooling would help.

Well that's working...

The problem is that it's offsetting about halfway through the print. This means that it looks like the entire print shifts to the left as it printed.

have you got a picture?

do you have collision detection turned on?

try without it!

if you have any over extrusion, or too low a first layer live Z setting, excess filament will collect on the nozzle, which can cause collisions, and layer shifts

I have the fan speed down at 30% now, that's no longer a problem, it's the shifting that is now the issue.

Hi Ryan,

From what I can see, you are ploughing the surface with your nozzle this looks like you are over extruding a bit,

try reducing your extrusion multiplier to say 0.95 and see what happens. just do a sample print and see what the effects are.

I currently have retraction distance at .8mm. Is that correct?

Ok. Multiplier set to .95 but the same exact issue continues.

That is a large print that could be susceptible to the corners lifting and collision occurring with the nozzle.

I do agree you are over extruding a little. It may or may not cause you a problem and the only way to know is to try and change the extrusion value as suggested. Saying that i normally over extrude on purpose to get strong parts and don't see issues. I only make adjustments in the Slicer for this.

Retraction at 0.8mm should be fine.

Sorry Ryan,

Crash detection is on the settings menu on the LCD Menu.

I typically use 0.8mm retraction for everything except TPU, but every printer is likely to be different,

if the top of the prints is still ridged, you may need to check your filament diameter!

if it's bigger than the printer is expecting you will get over extrusion,
