Moister problem?

Hello,

I am printing with a 6mm nozzle and my first layers looks like in the picture. I can also hear a blobing sound... The bad look disappears after the first layer...

RE: Moister problem?

I'm going to assume y0u mean a 0.60mm nozzle. It's always difficult to judge completely from a pic, but it looks like your Live-Z might be a tad too low on your 1st layer. I'd try raising it (making the Live-Z setting less negative) by 0.04mm and work upwards until it smooths out. It's not too bad though. You're not getting the rippling and distortion from being way too close, so that's good.

I find that I need to adjust my extrusion multiplier back a tad when using larger layer heights (>0.32mm) especially with larger nozzles. You might try reducing your extrusion multiplier by 5%.

Not sure what you mean by "blobbing sound". Are you hearing bubbling and popping? That might indicate your filament has absorbed too much moisture and needs to be dried. While not common, it can happen with PLA and is a definite problem with PETG and nylons and many other materials.

Hello,

sorry of course 0,6mm. I find it hard sometimes to judged if the first layer is to low or the extrusion multiplier to high. But about the problem i am now quiet shure that the filament is "wet". Will try a new spool as soon as they arrive and will leave a post. Thank you

It was a moisture problem. At least it disappeared with a new spool. Thanks anyway for supporting!
