How to print with empty layers
I am trying to print this (and other models like it) and have been unsuccessful.

I have tried multiple times even with other prints with holes/empty layers and I can't get it through the slicer. I always get:
Any advice on software and printer settings to print this. Right now I have a .4mm nozzle

this model has a handrail around the platform just above the lower arches, the spindles supporting the handrail are incredibly thin, you may have problems realising them in Slicer using a 0.4mm nozzle!
I downloaded the file and sliced it :-
Using a 0.4mm profile I got the error message,
using a 0.25 mm nozzle profile, the model succeeded in slicing no error message.
if you look at the comments on the thingiverse page, other people have had similar problems, some people tried upscaling the model to get success...

Thank you so much. I will try scaling it. I will order a .25mm nozzle

Scaling the model size worked. I was able to slice without error.
