Volcano 0.6mm Noz stringing problem
Hi,
I've upgraded to the E3D volcano eruption
Road so far:
- Complications compiling firmware, LCD not displaying correctly.
- Calibration: Cannot locate heatbed during XYZ calibration
- Heat
With my dimensional accuracy @ +/-0.1mm I can see the light at the end of the tunnel but, i'm at a roadblock with stringing. Next steps before finally getting it functional is stringing.
I've downloaded the economical stringing test from thingiverse (Ultrafast_and_economical_stringing_test) as well as use bobstro's multi extruder.3mf. But i still can't lock down the correct settings could I please get some guidance.
Printer:
- Prusa I3 MK2
- Volcano Eruption 0.6mm nozzle / 0.2mm height / 0.65mm layer width
- eSun PLA+
- 1.0 extrusion multiplier
Attempts:
- Read through:
- Max retraction of 6mm @ default PLA, K factor i.e 18
- Max speed of 100mm retraction speed
- Lowering Z-hop
- Temperature drops
- Recently tried K=0 and reapplied stringing tests to find best stringing result.
Photos to be added, they seem random but they aren't just some . I've kept tabs via a OneNote table and have highlighted results in that produced the best stringing results thus far.
Would really appreciate any help on this.
