Using newer version of PrusaSlicer - 2.5.0

So, I've not used my printer in a while (MK2), but I was unable to launch the the Prusa Control app on the Mac, so fell back to using slic3r that I had on the Mac already from a few years ago. I figured it was way out of date (still had "beta" in the version number - full name is Slic3r Prusa Edition - 1.39.1-beta1-prusa3d). I exported gcode, put on memory card and then when I go to print with that file, it says, "File is not complete, print anyway?"

If I say yes, it also tells me to upgrade firmware - something I've not done since I purchased this over 4 years ago.

Is the firmware message related to getting the file is not complete error?

RE: Using newer version of PrusaSlicer - 2.5.0

there have been many changes to the slicer in the last four years, even though the Mk2 is an older machine, there have been updates to bring it into line with the slicer improvements.

the best way forward is probably to
update the printer firmware to the latest version and
Update to the latest version of slicer.

and then see if you still have any errors.
here is an article on updating the firmware.

here is the location for the latest firmware Drivers and Slicer (Prusa Slicer is included in the Drivers download)
