Strange printer movement and unreadable stuff on LCD

Hello everybody,

today it got the "MINTEMP BED" error. The printer told me, the printbed would be 16°C cold, why it was actually hot. I got this error two times, and it went away without me doing anything. After the error was away, I was able to preheat, change filament and cooldown. The temperature (nozzle and heatbed) on the LCD seemed to be correct.

Then I started my print and four strange things happened:

1. The LCD only showed unreadable stuff. Strange characters, etc. Navigating through the menus was almost impossible.
2. The printer started to move in a time, where he was never able to reach the correct temperature. (I couldn't actually check it, because of #1)
3. The printing head (is this the correct term?) Started to move very slowly to the right side. (Much slower than he would normally). And he didn't do the check (driving to the 9 points) he would be doing normally. But he also didn't print, and he was much to high - like 9cm abote the print bed.
4. The heat bed was moving to the front. But the motor didn't stop, when it reached the maximum position. It just keept going, creating really ugly noises.

I shut down the printer immediately to prevent any damage. I tried it again, with the same result.

The printer is about 10 month old, and was delivered as a kit. I have printed hundreds of hours, and never occured anything like this.

Thank you in advance!

Well, this is quite embarring. While I still don't know what caused the "MINTEMP BED" Error (and what solved it) , I have found the cause for my other problems. It was simply a corrupt gcode file. The first ~5% of the file where just rubbish. I created it again with Slic3r and now everything works fine.

... Problem solved!
