Pinda probe missing node 4, 8, & 9 on z calibration

Greetings, I have just replaced a dead pinda probe on a mk2s (purchased assembled). Everything has gone smoothly until the z calibration where it hits node 4 and plows into the bed, seems to recover and detects 5, 6 & 7, but then goes deep on 8 and ends deep on 9 (-10z it tells me). No idea what would cause it to miss detecting the floor on those nodes and not others. Printing fails on node 3 asking if there is debris on the nozzle. The only thing I can think of is that the bed is warped a bit?

Hmm. Weird problem. What happens when you run XYZ calibration, Mesh bed leveling? Try messing with the height of the PINDA and see if that makes any difference.

Try lowering the PINDA probe lower than the nozzle, see if the problems continue. Then try slowly raising the height of the probe and z calibrating to test and seeing if the problem pursues.

Also check to make sure the PINDA light turns on and off at the correct times when moving it over all the calibration points.

That would be my best advice at this time. Good luck!

Re: Pinda probe missing node 4, 8, & 9 on z calibration

I have the same issue, however the probe light turns off after mesh leveling #2, when it goes to #3 it says
"Bad leveling failed. Sensor didn't trigger. Debris on nozzle? Waiting for rest." (this is a prebuilt printer). I've tried releveling the probe. I've checked the probe it indeed turns off when putting metal up against it (end points test). What I believe is happening is that the x axis is somehow off. When it passes from leveling #2 and to #3, the probe lights turns off. I've tried doing a xyz calibration. It gets by calibration Step #1, but digs into the bed at calibration #2 (with the light off). At this point i'm not sure what is the next steps. I have firmware version 3.1.0.

Any help?
