MK3 x-ends (R2) on MK2(s) / MK2.5
Hi All,
Does anyone tried to use MK3 x-ends (version R2) on MK2(s) /MK2.5? I know the end stop holes on x-end-motor are missing but I have put them back (STL file attached).
I have done some measurements on x-end-motor, x-end-idler and x-carriage and nothing seems to be a problem to my eyes. Did I miss something?
I have just finished to print MK2.5 parts and have to update bearings and rods, the perfect moment to print new x-ends!

I used the Mk3 X-end idler as it was for my Mk2.5. For the x-end motor I used the MK2S one, but I replaced the bearing.scad with the one from the MK3 and added the lip on the inside of the bearing hole the MK3 one has. You will need longer screws for the trapazoid nut. Unfortunately, it didn't fix the squeaking noise, although it has gotten better after some hours of printing.

Anyone else done anything like this? The loudest part of my upgraded MK2.5 is the X-idler pulley constantly squeaking, and I've read it's due to slight belt misalignment with the MK2 design.
