MK2 Firmware update to 3.14.1?

I too have a i3 from 2017 that I purchase from Replikeo. The cutout on the top frame is PRUSA i3. The hot bed is Sunhokey and it states MK2a. It uses the glass plate with paper tape applied. There is no Z axis distance probe. It is done with a sheet of bond paper so this unit is missing a lot. But its paid for and ran back in 2017 when first assembled. Like had its events so I had to shelve it. I used Slicr and Marlin before. The driver board is Replikeo Ramps on a Arduino Mega 2560.

I see that there has been no answer since Sept 9 2025 so maybe this post will bump the community. I hope to get up to speed where you are so I can at least turn it on and then together we can pursue getting prints done? I am in the middle of assessing what printer operation I can do at the moment as I really need to back track into the doco and match up what I have here.

One of the issues is I thought I could use Bambu, OrcaSlicer, or PrusaSlicr but it looks like plain vanilla Slicr, like I had used before is still the only software compatible.

Hi, I built MK2 back in 2016 from kit, and I printed on and off on it, I don't think I ever upgraded firmware.
Now that I have latest Prusa slicer, the MK2 starts beeping before each print about update to Firmware 3.14.1
The board is Rambo 1.3a
I also recently got  OctoPi for it, so the beeping and FW require popup ack before each print is extra annoying. 

 

I suspect that you have the wrong Slicer profile loaded. 
Firmware 3.14.1 is for the Mk2.5, and mk3 printers
Mk3 profiles have this line, in the Custom Gcode, Start Gcode    M115 U3.14.1 ; tell printer latest fw version  
Mk2 Profiles have a different line in the start gcode                       M115 U3.2.3 ; tell printer latest fw version
