Hotend Left Fan Issue

Hello

In the last few weeks finally got round to building my MK2S kit, from when it was just released 😳

All was looking fantastic, printed out a few small parts, then thought I’d print out the updated spool holder... all fantastic!

Went to print the next morning and the filament motor kept slipping. Turns out the hotend fan has stopped working and all the plastic in the heatsink melted. Now it’s rammed solid. Are their any good / reliable fan upgrades? Would the MK2.5 upgrade help?

Is this something that would be covered under warranty? If there is one?

Thanks

Tom

Re: Hotend Left Fan Issue

There is no need for a fan upgrade.
It most likely stopped working due to a broken cable which is common
for all the electrical hooked up parts either on extruder or heatbed
depending on how careful one did his wiring.
Find your broken cable, clean your hotend and maybe replace the PTFE tube and happy printing again.

Re: Hotend Left Fan Issue

Hello,

Did you resolve your jammed filament issue.
I woke this morning to find my hotend fan to be not working,
The extruder spinning with no filament coming out as it is (I am guessing) melted to the inside of the hotend bracket/mount.
I will have to take it apart to see what is going on,

Has anyone else seen this..? Any suggestions on how to get the filament out? What parts I need to get my system up and running again?
