Hot end heating up super slowly
I just replaced my hot end. Before it didn’t have any problems heating up. Now it takes a long time to heat up as well as having a hard time getting past 175 C. I have made sure everything is in its right place plugged in. Made sure all the screws are snug or tight. And I have run the pod calibration twice now, once with fan attached and one with fan not attached. What do I do now?

Where did you get the replacement and did you accidentally buy a 30W instead of a 40W unit? If you have a 40W, then do you have a break in the cable that is reducing current flow?

I bought the replacement from the E-shop (here on Prusa web site) and it says 24v 40w. I haven't checked for breaks in the wire. It heats up at a steady rate and then slows when it hits 130 and then crawls to 170 never passing 180.

You are posting in the MK2S forum and the MK2S uses 12V - do you have a MK3?

Mk2s has a 12 volt powersupply,
a 24 volt heater will never work properly on half power.
