Heatbed tilt! How to solve ?

Hi

I replaced my hotend due to a broken cable and after reassembling, the heat bed it not level anymore. I honestly don't know what can cause this.

First it thought it was an overtigthend mounting pice of the heatbed (see: http://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/prusa-i3-kit-building-calibrating-first-print-main-f6/heatbed-mounting-holes-overtightend-replacements--t1936.html if interested)

But i switched those out and the heatbed is still not level. It has a slight tilt to the left so the right side is like 1mm higher up.

Things i've tried:

1. XYZ Calibration (axes are perpendicular), finds all points
2. Remounting the heatbed with fresh mounting pices
3. Pressing down on the right side so the smooth rods are surely in place
4. Place the printer on a 100% level surface, there is no play, it stands firmly on all 4 corners.

(5.) The heatbed is level in itself i believe, as i printed on it before with no issue.

Hopes:

- Does the firmware auto correct this sort of tilt ?

How does is look ?

and farer to the right

How can i fix this ?

Any ideas what can cause this ?

Could the axes of the y carrage be not aligned?

I want to print again!! 👿 😥

Is it possible your y-carriage is not fully seated in the Z-frame? Did you turn your printer on its side or upside-down while servicing? If so, you may have unseated the carriage from the frame.

Make sure that you really get the rods to seat in the frame, I had to use a small file to remove some paint to get it all the way down when I assembled mine.

Hi

Yes i can confirm, that the issue is indeed the Z frame and the y "box" is not sitting in there correctly.

Theoretically the issue is solvable but i did try to fix it like 5 times and it is still not level.

Tired:

1. To push the rods down while holding the frame
2. Putting it tightening while on the side
3. Loosening all the screws and lifting the z frame
4. See 3 but with z frame seated "in the air" so gravity should pull the y box downwards

Results so far are even worse than before.

I dont get it what i do wrong after all this should not be that hard....

Any ideas ?

Is the Y frame too narrow or too wide? Or is there too much paint on the Z frame slots?

Hi, Manuel. I recently noticed my Y-carriage was freely rotating way too much, and when I took a look underneath, I saw that my zip ties attaching the carriage to the linear bearings had loosened/stretched. Could that be your problem? Maybe your Y-carriage has somehow moved off-center of the linear bearings? I've been looking to develop something better, possibly a printed part, that would hold the Y-carriage better than zip ties. Any ideas from the pros?

I have a Mk1 which is 11 months old and one of the early Mk2's Not had an issue with cable ties holding the bearings. The Mk1 bearings were swapped out for IGUS about 3 months ago; the Mk2 is still tight.
