Having problems after clearing a clog.

I have an I3 mk2 original that i bought assembled. I recently had a clog and had to take extruder apart to fix. Ever since then i have been having problems. It was printing smooth but now i am getting these strange band for a lack of better words every few layers. Those deep ridges should not be there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check the filament spool is free to unwind.  Check the filament drive gear teeth for debris.  Check the filament drive gear is firmly attached, that the set screw is tightened against the flat on the motor shaft.

I have taken apart the extruder and am looking a the filament drive gear.  It is brass and I believe the teeth may be worn down. I am going to order a new one an hope that helps this issue.
