Cut wire
Hello. I’m in need of some advise. I was printing on the MK2s and left when I came back a big blob of filament had formed under the extruder. When I removed it I accidentally cut the two blue wires pictured below. The left fan immediately stopped working and now the screen is showing Err:MinTemp. I was wondering if anyone knows how I can replace said wire, if there any videos or tutorials you can point me to and if someone can tell me the replacement wire I need to buy. thank you in advance.
RE: Cut wire
The Blue wires are the thermistor wires you have an e3dV5 hot end
Replacements are available from
Prusa

E3d

I suggest that you buy 2 thermistors and one 12volt 40watt heater, so that if you break anything fixing this problem, you have the spares immediately available, and if you don't break anything, you have spares got the next blob of doom. 🙂
I use an old soldeering iron, to carve the bulk of a blob of doom off whilst also heating the blob from the inside with the heater,,,
an alternative option is fitting an e3d revo hotend

RE: Cut wire
Thank you! I will be ordering thermistor today. I will try the Amazon option first since it’s the fastest shipping available then if that doesn’t work I will try the other two. Thanks again.
